Gwent Police have arrested and questioned a Welsh Labour Member of the Senedd, plunging the party into a fresh scandal. Alun Davies, the MS for Blaenau Gwent, was taken into custody on suspicion of committing a serious offence.
A spokesperson for Gwent Police confirmed the development, stating: "We can confirm that a man from the Abergavenny area has been arrested on suspicion of a serious offence and has been released on police bail pending further enquiries."
