Marjorie Taylor Greene Labels Trump a 'Traitor' Over Epstein Files

Former Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene has called President Donald Trump a 'traitor' over his handling of the Jeffrey Epstein files. In an interview on CNN's The Source, Greene claimed Trump told her in a phone call that releasing the files would 'hurt his friends'.

Greene said she was not surprised by revelations from the forthcoming book Regime Change: Inside the Imperial Presidency of Donald Trump, which alleges top Trump officials met in the Situation Room to discuss suppressing the Epstein documents. She described the alleged cover-up as 'absolutely ridiculous and unforgivable'.

When asked if she considered Trump a traitor, Greene replied: 'I'm saying exactly that.' She argued that those who refused to release the files were protecting 'pedophiles and rapists' and did not deserve the public's trust.

Greene, a former Trump ally, resigned from Congress in January after a falling out with the president. Trump has since called her 'Marjorie Traitor Greene'. Despite initial opposition, Trump signed a bill into law compelling the release of the Epstein files, which the Justice Department has since done.

Greene said she received hundreds of death threats after pushing for the files' release and criticising the president. She noted that Trump had labelled her a traitor for her stance, but she maintained that the true traitors were those trying to suppress the information.
