Turning Point USA Staffer Accused of Harassment and Kidnapping

A new lawsuit alleges that an Arizona Turning Point USA staffer sexually harassed a male employee and then kidnapped his 14-year-old daughter with the help of law enforcement. The civil complaint, filed in Maricopa County Superior Court, names Avondale City Councilwoman Jeannette Garcia as the defendant.

The lawsuit claims that during a post-election celebration in November, Garcia propositioned a male employee for sex in exchange for a job at the conservative youth organisation. When he refused and left the event, Garcia allegedly took his daughter from their home, aided by sheriff's deputies who told the girl her father might become violent.

The father, identified only as John Doe, said he returned home to find his daughter missing. Deputies informed him she was safe with Garcia. He eventually reached Garcia at 2:20 a.m., who confirmed she had the girl. The teenager was returned the next day after her grandmother arranged a meeting.

Garcia denies all allegations, calling them 'outrageous and false'. In a statement, she said she was helping a young girl and is preparing to pursue legal action against those spreading 'lies'. The lawsuit also references Garcia's previous censure by Avondale City Council for a social media post calling actor Tom Hanks a 'pedo'.
