A shooting near a shopping mall north of Dallas, Texas, left two people dead and three others injured on Tuesday, according to local police. The suspect, a man, was apprehended following a brief foot chase.

Carrollton Police Chief Roberto Arredondo stated that the attack was not a random act of violence. Investigators believe the victims and the attacker were acquainted, with the incident stemming from a business-related meeting. "We don't know exactly what the meeting was about, but we understand it to be a business relation," Arredondo said.
The shooting occurred at K Towne Plaza, a shopping center in the city's Koreatown district. Video footage posted online showed police officers with drawn weapons walking past storefronts. Agents from the FBI and another federal agency were present at the scene.
