An investigation is underway after a suspected petrol bomb attack on a home in Ingleby Barwick left three cars completely destroyed. Emergency services were called to Kenwood Crescent just after midnight on Sunday, 17 May, following reports of a house being petrol bombed and three vehicles set alight.
Images from the scene show the extent of the damage, with the three cars gutted by fire and their charred remains fused into the driveway. A window was shattered during the incident and has since been boarded up. Two fire engines from Thornaby Fire Station attended and extinguished the blaze. No injuries were reported.
Cleveland Police have confirmed that a cordon was established and enquiries are ongoing. Detective Chief Inspector Chris Pringle, from Stockton CID, said: 'At 12.15am on Sunday, May 17, police were called to Kenwood Crescent in Ingleby Barwick following reports of criminal damage. It involved a house believed to have been petrol bombed and three cars well alight.'
Footage circulating on social media appears to show four suspects at the scene at 12.15am, though police have not yet confirmed these details. Anyone with information or footage is urged to contact Cleveland Police on 101, quoting reference number 093259.
