Channel 5's gripping new thriller, Number One Fan, makes its debut tonight, May 4, at 9pm. The four-part series delves into the unsettling relationship between a beloved morning TV star, Lucy Logan, and her seemingly devoted fan, Donna. After rescuing Lucy from a mugging, Donna insinuates herself into Lucy's life, but her motives are far from pure. As the story unfolds, viewers witness how a fan's obsession can quickly spiral into something sinister.

Meet the Cast of Number One Fan

Donna Hughes – Sally Lindsay

Donna, the stalker, is portrayed by Sally Lindsay, 52, from Stockport. She is widely recognized for her role as Shelley Unwin on ITV's Coronation Street. Lindsay also leads Channel 5's The Madame Blanc Mysteries, which she co-creates and produces. Married to musician Steve White, she has two children. Of her character, Lindsay remarked: "It's dark and it's a bit of a rollercoaster... When I read it, I was like, 'Well, I didn't see that coming.'"

Lucy Logan – Jill Halfpenny

TV presenter Lucy is played by Jill Halfpenny, 50, known for her roles as Nicola Dobson in Byker Grove and Izzie Redpath in Waterloo Road. She has a son with her ex-partner, actor Craig Conway. Halfpenny teased: "It turns very shocking. There are things in it that I think will genuinely surprise people."

Shawn Logan – Daniel Adegboyega

Lucy's partner Shawn is played by Daniel Adegboyega, a stage and screen actor whose breakout role was in the action film The Last Knights. He may also be recognized from The Tower and Sanctuary: A Witch's Tale.

Stewart Jones – Dean Andrews

Exiled presenter Stewart Jones is portrayed by Dean Andrews, 62, from Rotherham. He is best known as DS Ray Carling in the BBC drama Life on Mars and its sequel Ashes to Ashes, as well as Will Taylor in Emmerdale.

Mel – Sharlene Whyte

Lucy's manager Mel is played by Sharlene Whyte, 49, recognized for her role as Jenny Edwards in The Story of Tracy Beaker and Adanna Lawal in Waterloo Road series six.

Jacob – Harvey Rhys-Conway

Jacob, Lucy's teenage son from a previous relationship, is played by Harvey Rhys-Conway, making his TV debut in this series.

Jane Shelley – Erin Shanagher

Rival presenter Jane Shelley is portrayed by Erin Shanagher, known for her role as DS Karen Hobson in The Bay and Fiona Baker in Viewpoint.

Tabbie Marwell – Tiffany Gray
