A cryptic, unsigned letter warning the late financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein to 'watch out' has been made public as part of a massive new document release. The US Department of Justice published the files online following the passage of the Epstein Files Transparency Act.
Inside the Vast Document Trove
The latest release adds to the more than 600,000 pages related to the paedophile made public this year. The documents originate from three separate investigations: a 2005 Palm Beach police probe, the subsequent federal investigation that led to Epstein's controversial 2008 plea deal, and a 2019 Manhattan prosecution that ended with his death in jail.
The cache includes thousands of videos and images taken inside Epstein's properties. These show rooms decorated with nude photographs and distinctive bright blue carpeting. The Department of Justice provided no context for the visual material.
The Enigmatic Warning and High-Profile Associations
Among the records is a mysterious note addressed to Epstein. It reads, in part: 'Am pulling for you now and in the future to take care of self your health and watch out for people coming at you [sic].' The letter, which bears no signature or date, also controversially states: 'A lot of these girls who you dealt with is or was runaways in the first place.'
The files also detail Epstein's connections to numerous famous figures. Records mention associations with Michael Jackson, Sir Mick Jagger, and Kevin Spacey. Former US President Bill Clinton features in photographs from social events, though he has vehemently denied any knowledge of Epstein's crimes.
Images of Maxwell, Royalty, and a Pampered Lifestyle
Ghislaine Maxwell, currently serving a 20-year sentence for her role in Epstein's abuse ring, appears extensively in the newly released photographs. Images show her in various settings, from posing in a luxury sports car wearing only a silk robe to wrestling playfully with French modelling agent Jean-Luc Brunel.
One series of pictures depicts Maxwell with celebrity magician David Copperfield, both wearing white towelling robes. Another shows her outside the door of 10 Downing Street in London, though the context and date are unknown.
Prince Andrew also features. One released photograph shows the former royal lying across five women at a black-tie event, smiling with his face near one woman's bare legs. Ghislaine Maxwell stands grinning behind him. The image is understood to have been taken in one of the Royal Family's most treasured rooms.
It is crucial to note that being named or pictured in these files is not necessarily an indication of wrongdoing in relation to Epstein's criminal activities. The Trump administration described itself as the 'most transparent in history' following this latest disclosure.
