Kylie Jenner is being sued by her former housekeeper, Angelica Hernandez Vasquez, who alleges she endured harassment and discrimination during her employment. The lawsuit, filed on Wednesday, claims that Vasquez worked in a 'toxic and abusive environment' at Jenner's Los Angeles residence from September 2024 to August 2025.
Allegations of Discrimination and Harassment
According to the legal complaint, Vasquez faced discrimination based on her race, national origin, religion, and disability. She claims that co-workers belittled her and mocked her accent, creating a hostile work atmosphere. The lawsuit also states that Vasquez was not reimbursed for expenses she incurred while performing duties at the home of Jenner's boyfriend.
Ignored Complaints and Retaliation
Vasquez asserts that she raised her concerns about the working conditions to Jenner and the relevant companies, but her complaints were ignored. She alleges that the lack of response constituted retaliation, making her situation even more unbearable.
Resignation Due to Intolerable Conditions
The former housekeeper eventually resigned, citing 'intolerable' working conditions. She claims to have suffered from anxiety, stress, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) as a result of her experiences. Vasquez is now seeking damages for unpaid wages and emotional distress.
The lawsuit highlights the broader issue of workplace discrimination and the mistreatment of domestic workers. Jenner's representatives have not yet commented on the allegations.
