Katie Price's new husband, Lee Andrews, has sparked confusion and anger with his claims of having met her children, leading the star's family to prepare for a confrontation when he eventually visits the UK. Last week, Andrews stated he made secret trips to Britain and spent time with Katie's three eldest children. In a voice note to a newspaper, the Dubai-based businessman said, "People don't know I've met Harvey and two of the kids. I haven't seen the young ones." He added, "I've been back and forth, I just don't f***ing tell anyone. I lead a very private life."
However, a representative for Katie, 47, denied the claims, while a source close to her children, Junior and Princess, confirmed they have never met Andrews in person. Now, a source close to Katie reveals she is growing frustrated with having to defend her husband, while her family is preparing to challenge him face-to-face. "Her mum and her sister are very protective and won't pull any punches. Her family have had enough," the source said. "They are keen to challenge him on things he has said and there will definitely be some kind of showdown."
Earlier this month, Andrews claimed he will move to the UK in May, despite reports of a travel ban after spending three weeks in jail last year for allegedly obtaining funds by deception. During her podcast, Katie hinted at the ban, saying, "You can get a travel ban over anything in Dubai – a parking ticket, or if you owe a bill for electricity." She also appeared to backtrack on plans to move into the £36 million Dubai home Andrews claims he bought with cash, vowing to prioritise family over her new marriage. "I don't know why people think I'm moving. My family's here," she said in a now-deleted YouTube video.
According to the source, Katie's decision to stay in the UK is telling. "Katie is getting a little frustrated with Lee. He says he's seen the kids via Zoom and FaceTime, but not physically because he's not able to come over. He has said he is coming in May, but people don't believe he will." Her loved ones remain deeply concerned about his intentions. "Her family are saying, 'Look at the track record, Katie. Look at his past relationships.' They think he's with her for the total wrong reasons," the source added.
Although Katie is still in love with Lee, the honeymoon period is fading. "She's getting frustrated that he can't come over. She's told him her home is here, her family is here, Harvey is here. She can't just abandon him," the source said. "The cracks are starting to show." Within days of their quickie wedding, Katie was bombarded with claims about Andrews' past, including his ex-fiancée warning her to "run for the hills." Doubts were also cast over his academic and business credentials, with Cambridge University denying he studied there and his LinkedIn claims being admitted as false. As Andrews' proposed move to the UK remains uncertain, Katie appears caught between her family and her new husband. "It's as if Katie is caught between two worlds. She is torn between choosing her family and Lee," the source concluded. "Essentially, it's an ultimatum."
