Epstein Files Expose Royal And Political Network

The release of the Jeffrey Epstein files has led to at least nine resignations and investigations into high-profile figures, including former UK ambassador to Washington Peter Mandelson and Prince Andrew. A Guardian data analysis of over a million emails reveals the financier's deep and longstanding ties to a network of elites.

The analysis identified over 150,000 unique emails between Epstein and a select group of influential people. Among them, Steve Bannon, former chief strategist to Donald Trump, exchanged nearly 1,500 emails with Epstein, mostly in 2018. Their correspondence covered politics and film, with Epstein offering strategic advice on Bannon's European projects.

Emirati billionaire Sultan Ahmed Bin Sulayem exchanged close to 4,200 direct emails with Epstein from 2005 to 2019. The emails include sexual references and discussions about women, such as a 2013 message from Bin Sulayem complaining about the appearance of women sent to him.

The Guardian will continue its analysis, focusing on figures like Woody Allen, former Barclays head Jes Staley, and economist Larry Summers. Appearing in the files does not constitute evidence of wrongdoing.
