Explosive Epstein Emails Reveal Clinton Rift and White House Links

Freshly disclosed correspondence from disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein has unveiled startling details about his severed relationship with former President Bill Clinton and his extensive communications with a former Barack Obama White House official. The emails, released by Democratic members on the House Oversight Committee, provide unprecedented insight into Epstein's network among political and business elites.

Clinton Fallout and Elite Connections

In a particularly revealing email exchange discussing an individual codenamed 'McGyver', Epstein joked about his 'memory being a friend killer' before detailing his break with Clinton. 'I stopped talking to Clinton when he swore, with whole-hearted conviction to me that he had done something, he had forgotten that he also swore the exact opposite to me only weeks before,' Epstein claimed to Kathryn Ruemmler, who served as White House Counsel from 2011 to 2014.

The documents further reveal that in 2018, theoretical physicist Lawrence Krauss asked Epstein to organise a 'Men of the World Conference' featuring Clinton, Kevin Spacey, Woody Allen and Senator Al Franken. This emerges alongside previous revelations about Clinton's birthday letter to the convicted sex offender.

A Clinton spokesperson responded to The New York Post stating: 'President Clinton knew nothing about Epstein's heinous crimes and hadn't spoken to him in twenty years.' Clinton has consistently maintained he was unaware of allegations against Epstein, who died by suicide in 2019 while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges.

Obama White House Counsel's Extensive Ties

The correspondence reveals an extensive relationship between Epstein and Ruemmler, who was later named as backup executor of Epstein's estate in his January 2019 will. Their emails span from 2014 to 2018 and include discussions about their mutual dislike of Donald Trump, with Ruemmler describing Trump as 'living proof of the adage that it is better to be lucky than smart' in an August 2015 email.

Epstein repeatedly invited Ruemmler to his notorious New York City townhouse, with one 2014 exchange showing him writing 'You need to talk to boss.' Ruemmler, who had left the White House three months earlier according to her LinkedIn profile, responded: 'Agreed, but I need to be prepared to say yes before I talk to him.'

Epstein's private calendar, released in April 2023, showed Ruemmler had dozens of meetings scheduled with Epstein between 2013 and 2017, after he had served jail time in 2008 for sex crimes involving a teenage girl. The documents indicate planned trips to Paris in 2015 and his private Caribbean island in 2017, though Ruemmler maintains she never visited his island or flew with him.

Internal emails show Epstein and staff discussing whether Ruemmler would be uncomfortable with young female assistants present during her visits. Epstein instructed one woman to avoid the townhouse during Ruemmler's visit but told another it would be acceptable.

Aftermath and Denials

Ruemmler, now employed by Goldman Sachs, told The Wall Street Journal: 'I have nothing to do with the estate and have never served in any capacity relating to the estate.' Her current employer defended her, with spokesman Tony Fratto stating: 'Kathy's legal judgment is widely respected and she has always put the interest of the firm first.'

In 2023, Ruemmler expressed regret about her association with Epstein, stating: 'I regret ever knowing Jeffrey Epstein.' The newly released documents continue to raise questions about the extent of elite connections to the convicted sex offender and how such relationships persisted despite his known criminal history.

The House Oversight Committee's document release also included a copy of Donald Trump's alleged lewd birthday card to Epstein, which the former president has denied creating, further highlighting the wide-ranging political connections within Epstein's network.
