173 Times: Full List of British Celebrities in Epstein Files
British Celebrities Named in Jeffrey Epstein Files

A comprehensive list of prominent British figures, including royalty, former prime ministers, and cultural icons, has been made public as part of the vast cache of documents connected to the late financier Jeffrey Epstein.

The Scope of the Revelations

The documents, numbering around 23,000 pages, were handed over to the US House Oversight Committee by the Epstein estate. They name over 30 individuals with British connections, painting a startling picture of the disgraced billionaire's social sphere. The list reads like a who's who of British society, featuring names from the highest levels of royalty, politics, and entertainment.

It is crucial to note that committee members have stressed being named in these documents does not indicate any wrongdoing. The contexts in which names appear vary dramatically, from general social contact and media chatter to attendance at the same events or mentions in diary planning notes and correspondence.

Key British Figures Mentioned

The most frequently mentioned British name is Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, the former Prince Andrew, whose name appears a staggering 173 times in total. He has repeatedly denied allegations made against him concerning his association with Epstein.

Other members of the Royal Family are also present in the files. Sarah Ferguson and Queen Camilla are each mentioned nine times, while the late Princess Diana is referenced on 14 occasions. The documents clarify that these mentions do not imply a close friendship with Epstein.

The world of politics is well-represented, with three former Prime Ministers named:

  • Tony Blair (22 mentions)
  • David Cameron (19 mentions)
  • Gordon Brown (16 mentions)

Brexit architect Nigel Farage also appears, with 18 mentions attributed to him.

Cultural Icons and Denials

The list extends deep into British culture, naming some of the nation's most celebrated personalities. Supermodel Naomi Campbell is mentioned ten times. She has previously denied any knowledge of Epstein's criminal activities, stating she was introduced to him through mutual connections.

Music legends feature prominently, with Sir Mick Jagger (9 mentions), Adele (8 mentions), and Sir Elton John (8 mentions) all appearing. In the sporting world, Sir David Beckham is named nine times. Actor Colin Firth and broadcaster Piers Morgan are also listed, with ten and nine mentions respectively.

Academia is represented by two of Britain's most renowned intellectuals: the late Professor Stephen Hawking (17 mentions) and evolutionary biologist Richard Dawkins (29 mentions).

As with all individuals named, the documents and officials associated with the release emphasise that their inclusion does not suggest any personal friendship with Epstein or involvement in his crimes. A number of those named have already spoken out to deny any wrongdoing or deep connection to the convicted sex offender.

Jeffrey Epstein was initially arrested in Palm Beach, Florida, in 2005 after being accused of paying a 14-year-old girl for sex. He ultimately pleaded guilty in 2008 to a charge involving a single victim, serving 13 months in a jail work-release program. He was later arrested on federal charges for sex trafficking of minors in 2019 and died by suicide in a New York jail cell.
