President Donald Trump lost his composure during a live exchange with a journalist on Thursday, telling the reporter, 'I know what's going on a hell of a lot better than you do.' The tense moment came a day after his speech at the G7 summit in France was described as 'strange' and 'quite rambling in parts.'
Heated Exchange with Reporter
Filmed while taking questions from reporters, Trump fired back after a journalist said, 'You frequently criticise Joe Biden for not knowing what is going on in his name,' while pointing out that a 'racist video' had been posted on Trump's social media. The President responded defensively, declaring, 'You don't know what's going on. I know what's going on. Joe Biden didn't have a clue but we know everything.'
He continued, 'And when you look at what's happening with our economy, and think of it, we're years ahead of schedule and we have thousands and thousands of businesses being built right now. So, Joe Biden had no clue. If Joe Biden were elected or if Kamala were elected, we wouldn't have a country right now.'
G7 Speech Under Scrutiny
Prior to this on-air argument, the 80-year-old President had returned from France, where he confirmed signing a memorandum of understanding with Iran and held a press conference at the G7 summit on Wednesday. Reflecting on Trump's speech, GB News presenter Bev Turner told viewers that the conference was 'strange' and 'quite rambling in parts.'
'He's clearly suffering from a head cold, he's clearly very tired. Some parts of this speech were very awkward,' she mused. 'You could see the faces of [US Secretary of Commerce Howard] Lutnick and [US Secretary of State Marco] Rubio in the background there. At times they did look like they were trying to suppress perhaps a rising panic that he was going off script a little bit too much. But, on the whole, I think they obviously feel this has been a successful agreement.'
Health Concerns Resurface
Before his G7 speech, Trump had already sparked health concerns after a video of him shaking hands with French President Emmanuel Macron went viral. Viewers noted Trump's limp wrist and blank expression, prompting theories that he may have suffered a stroke or be showing signs of frontotemporal dementia. Comments on the video suggested that something might be amiss with his health.
These incidents add to a growing list of public appearances that have raised questions about the President's well-being, though no official medical statements have been made.
