Trump Organization Sought 184 Foreign Workers in 2025

The Trump Organization applied to hire at least 184 foreign workers on temporary visas in 2025, the highest number ever requested by the company, according to a Forbes report published Thursday. The applications covered positions at Mar-a-Lago in Florida, two golf clubs, and a Virginia winery, including servers, housekeepers, kitchen staff, and farm workers.

The figure marks an increase from 121 applications in 2021, when Donald Trump's first term ended, and represents the fifth time in ten years the company has sought over 100 overseas workers for seasonal jobs at Mar-a-Lago, as reported by the Palm Beach Post.

The requests come amid a broader crackdown on legal immigration by the Trump administration, which has introduced a $100,000 fee on H1-B visas for skilled workers, increased scrutiny of visa holders, and stricter rules for foreign students and journalists.

Forbes noted that over the five years Trump has been in office (2017–2021 and 2025), the Trump Organization sought to employ 566 foreign labourers. The president recently defended the need for foreign workers on Fox News, stating that companies sometimes require specific talents not available locally.

The White House declined to comment, and the Trump Organization did not respond to inquiries.
