Hunger Games Actor Ethan Jamieson Faces Felony Assault Charges in North Carolina
Ethan Jamieson, an actor who appeared in the blockbuster film The Hunger Games, has been arrested and charged with three counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill. The incident occurred in Raleigh, North Carolina, where Jamieson allegedly fired a gun at a moving vehicle.
Details of the Alleged Assault Incident
According to court documents obtained by People magazine, the 27-year-old actor was arrested on 8 April 2026. The alleged assault took place on 22 March 2026, when Raleigh Police Department officers responded to reports of gunfire at approximately 9:52 PM local time.
A spokesperson for the Raleigh Police Department told Entertainment Weekly that upon arrival, officers located a victim who reported that an unknown suspect riding an e-bike had fired a shot at their vehicle while they were driving. Two additional occupants were inside the vehicle at the time of the incident.
During the investigation, detectives identified Ethan Jamieson as the individual who discharged a single gunshot in the direction of the victims' vehicle. Court filings state that the alleged assault involved a 9mm semi-automatic handgun.
Legal Proceedings and Previous Arrest
Jamieson was denied bail on 9 April 2026 and is scheduled to appear for a disposition hearing on 30 April 2026. Online arrest records list Jamieson as a resident of Raleigh and show that he had previously been arrested on 21 March 2025 and charged with resisting a public officer. This makes the recent arrest his second within a year.
