TOWIE's Junaid Ahmed Opens Up on Marrying Joe Blackman

TOWIE star Junaid Ahmed has spoken candidly about his relationship with Joe Blackman as the couple approaches their second anniversary, expressing excitement for what lies ahead. Their romance initially sparked controversy due to its timing, as it began shortly after Joe's split from Junaid's former best friend, Harry Derbidge.

Overcoming Criticism

The pair faced intense backlash from viewers and cast members alike, but they have proven the doubters wrong. Junaid, who joined The Only Way Is Essex in 2022, described the journey as worth it, stating: "Me and Joe getting together caused a lot of upset and shockwaves around Essex for such a long time but it was worth it in the end and I found my true love."

Wedding Plans and Future

Although not yet engaged, Junaid shared his dream wedding vision, blending both of their cultural backgrounds. "I want to do a mixture of Bollywood and English wedding," he said. "I'm Pakistani and Muslim and Joe is English and Christian so I want to mix both our cultures together and have a big Essex and Bollywood wedding. We are genuinely in love and excited for the next chapter."

Joe, who has a son named Daice, has expressed interest in expanding their family. "My little boy spends half his time with mum and half his time with me. He'll potentially get a little brother or sister from me and Junaid in the future," he revealed.

Ending the Feud

In recent episodes of the ITV2 reality show, Junaid, Joe, and Harry have finally put their two-year feud to rest. During a trip to Vietnam, the trio sat down together, talked through their issues, and shared a drink, agreeing that the getaway was the perfect opportunity to make peace.

TOWIE airs Sundays and Mondays on ITV2 at 9pm, with episodes available earlier on ITVX.
