During the ceremony on a beach in Lima, which involved coca leaves, skulls, and burning incense alongside photographs of global figures, shaman Juan de Dios García issued a grave alert. Dressed in traditional attire including a blue poncho, he proclaimed that the United States must prepare for its former leader to "fall seriously ill."
This spiritual warning amplifies existing rumours that have swirled around Trump's health throughout the past year. The 79-year-old, who became the oldest person to assume the presidency upon his first election in 2016, has repeatedly faced public scrutiny over his condition. Notably, he was compelled to address concerns about his "raspy voice" during a meeting about the 2026 FIFA World Cup, joking about a non-existent polyp when a reporter inquired.
Despite this speculation, official statements, including one from White House physician Dr Sean Barbadella earlier this year, have consistently asserted that Trump is in excellent cognitive and physical health.
