The Duchess of Sussex has marked her son Archie's seventh birthday with a rare public photograph, sharing a heartfelt message on social media. In an Instagram post on Wednesday, Meghan wrote: "7 years later… happy birthday to our sweet boy."
Rare Glimpse into Family Life
The post featured a picture of a printed photograph showing Prince Harry holding Archie as a baby, alongside a more recent image of Archie walking on a beach with his younger sister, Lilibet, who is four years old. Archie, the first child of Meghan and Harry, was born on May 6, 2019, at Portland Hospital in London.
A New Life in California
Meghan and Harry relocated to California in 2020 after initially settling in Canada following their departure from the UK. They now reside in Montecito with their two children. The Duchess stepped back from her role as a senior working royal when Archie was just 10 months old, choosing to build a new life across the Atlantic.
The birthday tribute is a rare public glimpse into the family's private life, as the couple has largely kept their children out of the spotlight since moving to the United States.
