A bitter feud has erupted between members of The Pussycat Dolls just hours after they announced their first global tour in 17 years. The iconic girl group, originally a six-piece band, is reuniting as a trio for a massive 53-date run across the UK, Europe, and North America.
Excluded Members Speak Out
Nicole Scherzinger, 47, Ashley Roberts, 44, and Kimberly Wyatt, 44, are set to headline the tour. However, three original members—Carmit Bachar, 51, Jessica Sutta, 43, and Melody Thornton, 41—have not been included in the reunion plans. Carmit and Jessica have publicly revealed they were blindsided by the announcement and were not asked to take part.
Carmit Bachar took to Instagram to repost a video from the group's former producer, Eddie Serrano, who criticised the three-piece reunion. In the clip, Serrano expressed his disappointment, stating, "I'm very upset about this Pussycat Doll 'reunion'... I do have a problem when I see my home girls, who were very instrumental in building the brand, not a part of this 'reunion'. We need to see them as a unit, not just as three girls—that's not the Pussycat Dolls, that's just the 'Pussy' without the 'Dolls.'" Alongside the video, Carmit simply wrote, "Luv you."
Jessica Sutta's Cryptic Messages
Meanwhile, Jessica Sutta disclosed that she only learned about the reunion at the same time as the public. When asked by a fan if she would meet up with the other Pussycat Dolls, Jessica replied, "No, I'm not. They have been planning it for a year and blatantly didn't ask Carmit and I. We are finding it all out the same time you are."
Jessica then shared several cryptic posts on her Instagram Stories, which appeared to be directed at her former bandmates. One read, "Pray that god keeps removing who's not meant for you and revealing what you need to see. Even if it hurts right now, he's making room for what's truly yours." Another stated, "You can go to church every Sunday, but that doesn't mean God doesn't see how you treat others and what you do." A third message added, "Those who hurt you will see how God heals you – publicly, beautifully, and beyond what they expected."
Background and Tour Details
Former member Melody Thornton has remained silent about the reunion so far. The Pussycat Dolls initially disbanded in 2010, with Kimberly Wyatt citing creative limitations at the time. Nicole Scherzinger pursued a solo career, and the group reunited as a five-piece without Melody Thornton in 2019, releasing the single "React." A planned reunion tour in 2020 was cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Speculation about a comeback began last month when Nicole, Ashley, and Kimberly were spotted together at the swanky Gaia restaurant in London's Mayfair. Tickets for the highly-anticipated tour in the UK and Europe will be available for pre-sale from Wednesday, March 18th, with general sales starting on Friday, March 20th.
Tour Dates Announced
The tour will feature special guest Lil' Kim for the European and UK legs, and Mya along with Lil Kim for the North American dates. Key dates include:
- Europe and UK: Starting September 9 in Copenhagen and concluding October 13 in London.
- North America: Running from June 5 in Palm Desert to August 1 in Dallas.
This reunion has reignited public interest in The Pussycat Dolls, but the ongoing feud highlights the tensions behind the scenes, casting a shadow over what was meant to be a celebratory comeback.
