Paris Fury Opens Up About Daughter's Wedding and Grandmotherhood Fears

Paris Fury, the wife of heavyweight boxing champion Tyson Fury, has candidly admitted that she feels unprepared to become a grandmother at the age of 37. In an exclusive interview and photoshoot with the Sunday Mirror's Notebook magazine, the mother of seven shared her mixed emotions about her eldest daughter Venezuela's upcoming wedding.

Shock Engagement and Wedding Plans

Venezuela Fury, an influencer and aspiring model, surprised her family last September when her boyfriend Noah proposed during her lavish 16th birthday celebration. The young couple are now actively planning their wedding scheduled for May, moving forward with what Paris describes as "quirky ideas" including acid pink-and-yellow floral arrangements.

"I didn't feel old enough for this, but she is over-the-moon happy," Paris confessed during the interview. "The two of them are in their own little bubble. And look, I got married myself, at 18."

Grandmotherhood Concerns

While expressing happiness for her daughter's engagement, Paris made it clear she's not ready for the prospect of grandchildren. "Venezuela's only young herself. They want to do some travelling, make their own life together first, so there's no rush," she explained. "I don't think I'll be mentally prepared for that, even in a few years' time. We'll see!"

The busy 36-year-old mother, who recently moved with her family to the Isle of Man, acknowledged that conversations about becoming grandparents have already taken place at home. During a November appearance on the Extraordinary Life Stories podcast, she admitted: "Hopefully it will be a few years from now. But oh my goodness, I can't even imagine being a granny! It will be a great moment in family life, but it will be a bit scary."

Emotional Transition

Paris revealed she anticipates struggling emotionally when Venezuela leaves home after the wedding to live with Noah in their newly purchased property. "I'll feel like I've lost my arm. It's going to hit me hard," she confessed. "Right now Tyson's in training camp in Thailand, the kids are in school, and Venezuela and I... basically co-parent!"

Despite her concerns, Paris noted her daughter's significant maturation in recent years. She recalled that during the filming of the first series of their Netflix documentary "At Home With the Furys," Venezuela was a "tormented teenager" at 13, but has since blossomed into a more communicative and less argumentative young woman.

Family Background

Paris and Tyson Fury's relationship began when they met at a wedding when she was 15 and he was 17, reconnecting at her 16th birthday party before eventually dating. The couple married in 2008 when Paris was 18, welcoming their first child Venezuela when she was 19. They have renewed their vows twice - privately in New York in 2013 and more recently in a ceremony in France's Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region last August with all their children present.

The Fury family continues to film their popular Netflix series while navigating this new chapter in their lives, with Paris balancing her happiness for her daughter's future with her own emotional preparation for the changes ahead.
