Maya Jama's Daring Versace Gown Sparks Social Media Frenzy on Love Island
Maya Jama's Versace Gown Stuns Love Island Viewers

Maya Jama's Daring Fashion Moment Dominates Love Island All Stars

Presenter Maya Jama, 31, sent shockwaves through the Love Island All Stars villa on Sunday, not only with a dramatic twist for the Islanders but with a show-stopping outfit that became the talk of social media. The TV host strutted into the villa to deliver pivotal news, yet it was her striking black Versace gown that captured immediate attention and sparked a flurry of online commentary.

A Gown That Sparked Widespread Reaction

Following the broadcast, Maya took to her Instagram to share behind-the-scenes snaps, posing confidently in the designer dress. The gown featured a plunging neckline that displayed her cleavage, combined with a daring backless design. A distinctive brown leather panel curved around her waist and bottom, accentuating her figure in a bold fashion statement.

The unique design element led to widespread amusement on social media platform X, where several viewers admitted their initial confusion. Many commented that at first glance, they believed Maya had bared more skin than intended, with one user writing: 'I thought Maya’s batty was out at first glance.' Another added: 'For a minute, I thought Maya left her **s out for everyone to see,' while a third remarked: 'Maya's dress..... thought her bum was hanging out.'

Maya herself laughed off the reactions in her Instagram caption, writing: 'Movie night aftermath continues tonight… Also think the brown matched a lil too well lol someone said they thought the whole cheeks was out. Lil Vintage Versace moment.'

Major Villa Elimination Shakes Islanders

The host's arrival in the villa carried significant consequences for the contestants. Following an explosive Movie Night episode, Maya gathered the Islanders around the fire pit to announce that eight contestants were at risk of being dumped: Konnor Ewudzi, Imani Ayan, Curtis Pritchard, Kyra Lizama, Sean Stone, Lucinda Strafford, Scott Van-der-sluis, and Sher Suarez.

In a surprising twist, the decision was placed in the hands of the public vote rather than fellow Islanders. The result saw Curtis Pritchard, Kyra Lizama, Konnor Ewudzi, and Imani Ayan all being dumped from the villa, marking the biggest elimination of the series so far.

The emotional departure reduced fellow Islander Belle Hassan to tears, with her claiming that the 'wrong people were sent home.' During exit interviews, Curtis confessed to having feelings for his former love interest Millie Court from the first day, while Konnor expressed discomfort at being in a love triangle after Whitney Adebayo decided to explore connections with others.

Recent Burglary Adds to Personal Challenges

The fashion moment and villa drama come amid personal challenges for Maya and her footballer boyfriend Ruben Dias. Last month, thieves ransacked their £4 million rented home in Cheshire while Maya was in South Africa filming Love Island All Stars and Ruben was playing an away match for Manchester City against Galatasaray.

The burglars made off with thousands of pounds worth of items, including designer clothes, jewellery, and electronics. The couple had only recently moved into the Omaze prize-draw mansion in Alderley Edge, which reportedly costs £20,000 per month to rent. The stunning 6,300 sq ft four-bedroom property boasts panoramic views, landscaped gardens, a luxury indoor leisure suite, and a sophisticated security system.

Ruben reportedly raised the alarm after returning from his away game to discover the house turned upside down with valuable items missing. A source close to the couple revealed: 'They are devastated, the house is the first they have moved into as a couple and is very special to them. Thankfully, neither was at home, but they are very upset that their personal space has been invaded.'

The source added to The Sun: 'Maya was very proud to move into her first home with Ruben and took lots of videos and pictures while in the house which she posted on her social media. Previously in their relationship, she was back and forth from London and he was living in a city centre flat. That’s why this property means so much to them.'

Cheshire Police confirmed they received reports of the burglary shortly after 11:10pm on Wednesday 28 January at an address in Woodbrook Road, Alderley Edge. Officers attended and found entry had been made to the property with a number of items stolen. Enquiries remain ongoing, with police urging anyone with information to come forward.

The couple, who reportedly met at the European Music Awards in November 2024 and confirmed their romance at a Baller League event last April, were spotted viewing the ultra-modern property back in November. The mansion was originally won by mother Emily Ward with a £25 Omaze ticket, and she remains listed as the property owner, with the home also reportedly on the market for sale.
