Livvy Dunne Pursues Acting Career After NCAA Gymnastics Success
Livvy Dunne Takes Acting Lessons After Gymnastics Career

Livvy Dunne, the celebrated NCAA gymnastics champion and social media influencer, has announced she is actively pursuing acting ambitions by taking professional lessons. The 23-year-old LSU alumna disclosed this career shift in a recent interview, signaling a potential move into Hollywood.

From Gymnastics Mats to Acting Classes

Dunne explained to People magazine that acting has been a long-standing passion, but her commitments as a student-athlete at Louisiana State University previously took precedence. "One thing people would be surprised about is that I take acting lessons and I really love it," she said. "It's something I've been passionate about for quite some time."

During her time at LSU, Dunne focused intensely on gymnastics and academics, leaving little room for other pursuits. "Sports are your top priority when you're a student-athlete at school; school and sports, but really gymnastics was my main focus," she noted. Now, having completed her education, she has dedicated time to explore creative avenues.

Open to Television and Film Opportunities

Dunne expressed enthusiasm for collaborating on creative projects, whether in gymnastics or acting. "I feel like collabing on creativity and seeing the end result, having something be great after, that's something that I love," she shared. She is open to roles in television shows or movies when suitable opportunities arise.

"Whether it's gymnastics or acting in a movie or a TV show, I just think watching all your hard work pay off, whether it's an individual thing or a group thing, I think it's so cool," Dunne added, highlighting her appreciation for teamwork and achievement.

Social Media Stardom and Personal Life

While at LSU, Dunne amassed a massive online following, with 5.3 million Instagram followers and 7.9 million on TikTok. Her influence extends beyond social media, as she is also in a relationship with Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher Paul Skenes, one of America's top baseball players.

Dunne plans to support Skenes extensively, aiming to attend all his starts in 2026. "I'll try to make all of his starts, that's my goal this year," she told the Daily Mail at the Super Bowl in February. She is expected to be in the stands for the World Baseball Classic, where Skenes will pitch for the United States against Mexico in Houston, Texas.

Balancing New Passions with Existing Commitments

As Dunne embarks on her acting journey, she continues to manage her public profile and personal life. Her transition from athletics to entertainment reflects a broader trend of influencers diversifying their careers. With her dedication and growing skills, Dunne hopes to make a breakthrough in the acting world soon, while maintaining her support for Skenes' baseball endeavors.
