Lily Allen launched her sold-out US tour at Chicago's Auditorium Theatre on Tuesday night, delivering a performance that blended raw emotion with striking fashion. The 40-year-old singer commanded the stage in a black leather bullet-bra bustier dress, paired with towering heels, as she performed tracks from her new album, West End Girl.
Midway through the show, Allen changed into a sheer blue floral embroidered blouse with burgundy leather hot pants and fishnet tights, accessorised with red-soled heels. A standout moment saw her retrieve a piece of fabric covered in handwritten lyrics from a retro-style fridge on stage, wrapping it around her head before performing '4chan Stan' — a deeply personal song inspired by discovering a partner's alleged affair through a receipt from Bergdorf's.
For her third outfit, Allen softened the mood in a baby pink bouclé outfit, later removing her top to reveal a sheer nude cami with lace trim. The show closed with rapturous applause as she waved to the audience, clutching a large bouquet of flowers.
The tour supports West End Girl, an album widely seen as an emotional response to her split from David Harbour. The record earned three nominations at the 2026 BRIT Awards. Allen has spoken openly about prioritising her mental health and being present for her daughters, Ethel, 13, and Marnie, 11, whom she shares with ex-husband Sam Cooper.
Despite the album's themes, Allen told Interview magazine she is not on a 'revenge tour'. 'We all go through breakups, and it's always brutal,' she said. 'But I don't think it's that often that you feel inclined to write about it while you're in it.'
Further dates are scheduled across North America before the tour heads to Australia, culminating in a Perth finale on November 1, 2026.
