Gaza Militants Transfer Hostage Remains to Red Cross Amid Ceasefire
Hostage body transferred to Red Cross in Gaza ceasefire

In a significant development within the ongoing Gaza ceasefire, militants have transferred a body, believed to be that of a deceased hostage, to the International Committee of the Red Cross.

Details of the Handover

Israel’s army confirmed the event on Thursday, 13th November 2025. This handover is part of the delicate truce that commenced on October 10. Should Israel confirm the identity of the latest body, it would bring the total number of hostage remains repatriated to 25.

The Broader Exchange Agreement

The ceasefire arrangement includes a sombre exchange rate. For the return of each hostage's remains, Israel has been releasing the bodies of 15 Palestinians. According to the Gaza Health Ministry, this process has resulted in the receipt of 315 Palestinian remains so far. Despite these returns, if the latest is confirmed, three more hostages are still believed to be held within the Gaza Strip.

The continued implementation of this agreement remains a focal point for regional stability and humanitarian efforts, with the Red Cross playing a pivotal intermediary role.
