Holly Willoughby Hosts Glamorous King's Trust 50th Anniversary Gala
Holly Willoughby looked effortlessly chic as she led a constellation of celebrity attendees at The King's Trust Invest in Futures: 50th Anniversary Gala on Thursday night. The prestigious event, held at The Chancery Rosewood in partnership with Charlotte Tilbury Beauty, saw the former This Morning presenter, 45, commanding attention in a striking plunging long-sleeved fitted dress. The ensemble featured elegant white sleeves contrasted with a sophisticated black bodice and skirt, while her blonde locks were scraped back into a classy updo, perfectly complementing the evening's glamorous atmosphere.
Star-Studded Attendees and Fashion Highlights
Holly was joined by an array of high-profile guests, including the sensational Brooke Shields and the stylish Jerry Hall. Brooke, 60, radiated confidence in a white satin floor-length gown with exquisite ruched detailing, which she paired with an oversized black blazer for a modern twist. Accessorising with a black leather clutch bag and bold orange lens sunglasses, the American actress beamed alongside Jerry. Jerry, 69, opted for a timeless black velvet dress adorned with delicate black lace detailing and a distinctive silver buckle embellishment, showcasing her enduring fashion flair.
The guest list extended to include Trinny Woodall, who shimmered in a grey dress with a ruffled skirt and puffed shoulders, as well as Stanley Tucci, who looked dapper in a classic black suit, white shirt, and tie. Dominic West and his wife Catherine FitzGerald also graced the event, alongside Love Island stars Tasha Ghouri and Grace Jackson, who ensured all eyes were on them. Tasha flaunted her figure in a plunging black leather dress paired with black heels, while Grace chose a pale pink satin strapless dress accompanied by a matching shawl and silver bag. Showbiz couple Molly Rainford and Tyler West added to the festive spirit, beaming for photographs together.
Holly's Career Update: ITV Shelves You Bet!
Holly's appearance at the gala comes shortly after it was reported that ITV has shelved her show You Bet! following her decision to turn down the presenting role. The presenter, alongside Stephen Mulhern, hosted two specials in 2024 when the network rebooted the format of the game show, which originally ran for ten series in the nineties. However, ITV ultimately decided not to make it a permanent fixture in their television schedule, though they have not ruled out a potential return in the future.
This development marks another setback for Holly, as fans will also miss her on screens due to the non-renewal of her other shows, Dancing On Ice and Celebrity Bear Hunt. A TV insider revealed to The Sun that the shelving of You Bet! will be "another disappointment" for Holly, as it was her first major project with ITV since her departure from This Morning in 2023, following a horrifying kidnap, rape, and murder plot against her. The insider emphasised, "This will be another disappointment for Holly as she was so closely associated with the show and this was her first new, big project with ITV after she left This Morning."
An ITV spokesperson commented to the Daily Mail, "You Bet! returned to ITV in 2024 with a peak overnight audience of 4.4 million. Both You Bet! and You Bet! On Tour are available to watch on ITVX. There are currently no plans for a new series of You Bet! On Tour." The Daily Mail had previously contacted representatives for Holly for comment, but no further statements have been issued.
Despite these professional challenges, Holly took to the stage with Stanley Tucci at the gala, addressing the room and highlighting the charitable cause of The King's Trust. The evening celebrated fifty years of investing in futures, with Holly's presence underscoring her continued influence in the entertainment and philanthropic spheres.
