Michael Jackson's son, Bigi (formerly known as Blanket), made a rare public appearance on Good Morning Britain to discuss climate change and his late father. The 19-year-old, whose full name is Prince Michael Jackson II, spoke at a fundraising Halloween party held at his and his brother's home in California.
The Thriller Night Halloween Party raised funds for The Heal Los Angeles Foundation. Bigi said there was a 'lot of history' in the house and studio, adding that he and his siblings wanted to continue their father's legacy of 'making things that people can enjoy.'
Bigi also addressed climate change ahead of the COP26 conference, stating: 'I do think it’s important that we all know about it. I think we have some work to do but our generation knows how important it is.'
Bigi was seven years old when his father died from cardiac arrest in 2009. He and his siblings were raised by their grandmother, Katherine Jackson. Bigi now lives in a home in Calabasas, California, which he purchased in March 2020.
Meanwhile, Jackson's former Neverland Ranch in California was sold last year for US$22 million (£16.2 million), less than a quarter of its original asking price. Billionaire businessman Ron Burkle purchased the 2,700-acre property in Los Olivos, viewing it as a land banking opportunity.
