Victoria Beckham has publicly expressed her pride after her husband David Beckham was knighted in the King's Birthday Honours. The former Spice Girls singer, now known as Lady Beckham, took to Instagram to share her joy, calling David her 'knight in shining armour' and praising his dedication to family, country, and charity.
David Beckham, the former England football captain with 115 caps, was honoured for his services to sport and charity. He and Victoria, who married in 1999, have four children: Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz, and Harper. In her post, Lady Beckham highlighted his unwavering commitment and the kindness he has shown throughout his career.
The knighthood adds to Beckham's previous OBE in 2003. His football career includes six Premier League titles and two FA Cups with Manchester United, as well as a memorable Champions League victory in 1999. Since retiring in 2013, he has focused on business ventures, including co-founding Studio99 and co-owning Inter Miami, as well as charity work with Unicef and Malaria No More UK.
In a statement, Sir David expressed his humility and gratitude, noting that the honour was a 'boyhood dream come true'. He also acknowledged the support of his family, saying the moment was emotional to share with them. Lady Beckham's fashion label and beauty brand continue to thrive, cementing the couple's status as a power duo in both sport and style.
