The final five candidates of The Apprentice 2026 have been revealed following the departure of two contestants. Over the past ten weeks, 20 aspiring entrepreneurs competed in tasks ranging from creating a virtual reality fitness game to selling flowers, all vying for Lord Sugar's £250,000 investment.
The remaining candidates now face a gruelling round of interviews with Lord Sugar's toughest business associates. Their business plans will be scrutinised, and only two will make it to the grand final. The candidates have shared their reflections on the journey so far, highlighting the toughest tasks and their feelings about fellow contestants.
One candidate described the Hong Kong task as particularly challenging due to the new environment, language barriers, and high humidity. Another difficult moment was when they served as project manager for the chicken and egg task, feeling undermined by others despite leading the team to victory. They noted the balancing act of listening to all opinions versus asserting their own leadership.
Living in the house was likened to a school ski trip, but frustrations arose over some candidates' inability to cook simple meals, relying on pot noodles and takeaways. Sharing a room with five others was tough, but bedtime chats about life and business provided camaraderie.
The candidate emphasised that their motivation for seeking Lord Sugar's investment was not the money but the mentorship and guidance to scale their business. Having built their company alone since age 17, they described the journey as rewarding but isolating. They now look forward to the interviews, hoping their business achievements will speak for themselves.
