Selena Gomez has listed her bachelorette pad in Encino, California, for $6.49 million. The property was previously owned by the late rock legend Tom Petty, who sold it in 2017, just months before his death at age 66 in Malibu.
A Star-Studded Property
The 33-year-old Only Murders In The Building actress purchased the 11,000-square-foot home in 2020 for $4.89 million. The estate boasts six bedrooms and 8.5 bathrooms. It served as the backdrop for her unscripted cooking show Selena + Chef and her Rare Beauty makeup tutorials.
According to property records seen by Realtor.com, Gomez listed the home on May 1. The story was first reported by TMZ. The listing describes the property as a 'private celebrity compound' that evokes 'a magical vision of romance, inspiration, and tranquility.'
'Formerly home to music icon Tom Petty and superstar Selena Gomez, this spectacular estate offers distinctive architecture crafted with exceptional attention to detail and the finest quality,' the listing adds.
Luxurious Amenities
The home features a gourmet chef's kitchen, wine cellar, gym, massage room, creative work area, vocal booth, den, and guest suite. The front entry opens to a living room with soaring ceilings. The main level includes a family room, formal dining room, and a sprawling kitchen. The property also includes a primary suite on the main level, an upper-level second primary suite, and four additional bedroom suites.
Custom built in 1989 for Petty, the home has undergone extensive renovations. The interior features high beamed ceilings, white walls, and large windows that create an airy, beachy cottage vibe. Outside, there is a swimming pool with a hot tub, a covered barbecue area seating at least 10, a cabana with a bar, a fire pit, and an al fresco dining area with a cascading waterfall and stream flowing into the pool.
'Here is your chance to live amongst the stars,' the listing reads.
Recent Purchase with Benny Blanco
This sale comes after Gomez and her husband, music producer Benny Blanco, purchased a sprawling Beverly Hills mansion for $35 million in December 2024. The Spanish-style home features seven bedrooms, 12 bathrooms, a main residence, and two guesthouses—one with a studio and the other with a home theater. The previous owner was a famous Hollywood director, according to TMZ. The property last sold in August 2021 for $30.7 million.
