A 55-year-old grandmother known as the "world's hottest gran" has revealed the key diet change she credits with keeping her looking youthful and attracting men half her age. Gina Stewart, who has openly discussed how her looks draw younger admirers, recently shared her festive-season advice on Instagram.
In her post, Stewart advised skipping red wine over Christmas, arguing that alcohol's risks outweigh any supposed benefits. She wrote: "Once the 'healthy' holiday indulgence (resveratrol + cosy nights by the fire). 2025 science update. Benefits overhyped, no safe alcohol level – linked to cancer and more, risks outweigh any perks. Alcohol is toxic – burdens liver, feeds pathogens [and] blocks true healing. Skip it for radiant holiday health!" She suggested switching to spiced mulled grape juice as a festive alternative.
Stewart previously told the Scottish Sun in 2023 that many younger men are attracted to older women, saying: "I probably get more requests from the younger generation than my generation. The oldest I have dated was in the late 50s, and the youngest was in their 20s." She has not consumed alcohol for years, which she says contributes to her youthful appearance.
Her advice aligns with scientific evidence. Alcohol can accelerate ageing both visibly and at a cellular level, dehydrating the skin, stressing organs, damaging DNA, and increasing inflammation. Even moderate drinking may trigger premature ageing, and alcohol is linked to seven types of cancer, as the body converts it into the toxic chemical acetaldehyde, which damages DNA.
