Netflix star and renowned medium Tyler Henry has been forced to cancel the opening dates of his US tour after being rushed to hospital for emergency brain surgery.
Third Brain Operation for Recurring Cyst
The 29-year-old clairvoyant, famous for his Netflix series Life After Death with Tyler Henry and E!'s Hollywood Medium, underwent the procedure in November. This marked his third brain surgery this year, following a previous operation in May to remove a colloid tumour.
According to an update from his husband, Clint Godwin, on Instagram, symptoms of swelling had slowly returned over the past month. Tyler's medical team determined that another operation was the best course of action to address the "recurring cyst and swelling".
"Today, Tyler underwent his third brain operation and is recovering well tonight!" Godwin wrote, expressing gratitude for the support shown to their family.
Live Tour Dates Postponed
The health emergency has directly impacted Henry's professional schedule. He was due to begin a series of live audience readings across the United States, but the first two events have now been cancelled.
Tickets are no longer available for performances scheduled for 12 and 13 December in Brooks, California, with the venue listing the events as cancelled. It is unclear when the tour might be rescheduled.
A History of Health Challenges and a Positive Prognosis
Back in May, Henry himself informed fans about the successful removal of a colloid tumour near the centre of his brain. He reassured followers that his prognosis was great and that he planned to resume his work after a month of bed rest.
"For those curious, I had a colloid tumor near the center of my brain and thankfully most of it has been removed!" he quipped on Instagram at the time, adding, "(The tumor, not my brain… that is)."
The medium, who has read for celebrities including Megan Fox, Bobby Brown, and Kristin Cavallari, has been met with an outpouring of support online. Fans flooded his social media with well-wishes, calling him an "Earth Angel" and expressing relief at his positive recovery updates.
