Jeremy Clarkson Hospitalized After Prostate Cancer Treatment

Jeremy Clarkson has been hospitalized after complications arose during his prostate cancer treatment, as revealed in the final episodes of Clarkson's Farm season five on Prime Video.

Cancer Diagnosis Revealed

The 66-year-old broadcaster disclosed his prostate cancer diagnosis during the series, informing colleagues Kaleb Cooper and Charlie Ireland that he had been aware for some time after undergoing a biopsy. The heartbreaking revelation left his team visibly shaken.

Treatment Update

In the closing scenes, Clarkson attempted to enjoy the annual farm picnic despite a series of health setbacks and livestock losses. When Kaleb asked when they would know if the treatment worked, Clarkson replied: "I don't know, I've got a blood test but not for another few weeks. Come on, cheer up. It probably did work."

Hospitalization

After a disturbing development regarding the TB crisis on the farm, Clarkson remarked: "Well, things can't get worse," before the screen cut to text reading "4 days later." An ambulance was shown racing with blue lights, and Clarkson was then seen in a hospital bed with a 'nil by mouth' sign. He explained: "Some of the treatment's gone a bit awry, shall we say. So, I'm going to be here for a little while. I'm nil by mouth, I don't know what's going to happen. Well look, what I wanted to say was, if this is all successful I'll see you for season six and if it isn't, I won't. Take care, everyone."

What 'Awry' Means

Fans have been questioning the term 'awry,' which indicates something has deviated from its intended path. For Clarkson, this implies certain elements of his medical care haven't proceeded as planned. He has yet to provide further details about his treatment since the season's debut.

Clarkson's Farm season 5 is available on Prime Video.
