Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay has shared a simple yet effective hack for achieving the perfect fried egg, using a common ingredient found in most fridges. In a TikTok video, Ramsay demonstrates his method, which involves adding butter to the pan to enhance the eggs.
Ramsay starts by cracking eggs into a pan with a little olive oil, seasoning with salt and pepper, and cooking slowly. He then introduces small pieces of butter, which froth up as they melt, cooking the top of the egg. 'Get that little bit of butter at the side and see it frothing up, getting that nice yolk beautifully cooked,' he explains.
The hack has impressed many on Instagram, with fans praising the scrumptious results. One admirer said: 'I would LOVE to eat anything he cooks ... It all looks so good.' Another added: 'If Gordon cooked for me for one day I would probably never eat again because everything would probably taste gross after the gorgeous meals he makes.'
However, some critics argued that the eggs appeared raw due to Ramsay's refusal to flip them. Alternative tips included using a cold pan or adding a tablespoon of water and covering with a lid to cook the top. Despite the mixed reactions, Ramsay's method offers a simple twist for breakfast enthusiasts.
