Reality TV star and Heart radio host Vicky Pattison has made a surprising confession about what her Saturday nights could have involved this year - and it wasn't the glittering ballroom of Strictly Come Dancing.
The 37-year-old, who married businessman Ercan Ramadan in August last year, revealed that 2025 presented a clear crossroads: either take on the BBC's flagship dance competition or start trying for a baby with her husband.
The Life-Changing Decision
During an exclusive photoshoot with OK! magazine, the straight-talking Geordie favourite explained the pivotal moment that shaped their year. "At the start of this year, I said to Ercan, I'm either gonna do Strictly, a second series of Honesty Box or we're going to have a baby," Vicky shared. "When I got the call for Strictly he was over the moon."
While the decision means the couple have less quality time together during her intensive training with professional partner Kai Widdrington, Vicky admits the experience has shown her a different side to her husband's character - one that convinces her he'll make an incredible father when the time comes.
Ercan's Supportive Role
The TV personality opened up fondly about how Ercan has been "spoiling her rotten" throughout her Strictly journey. "He's my anchor and he spoils me rotten," she gushed. "He wakes me up every morning with my electrolytes, my collagen, ready to go to Strictly school!"
Vicky described their current dynamic as a "progressive role reversal" from traditional gender roles, noting that Ercan has taken charge of meals and become the "best dog dad" while she focuses on mastering her dance routines. "It takes a special man to do that," she added appreciatively.
Looking Ahead to 2026
When it comes to future plans, the couple are firmly on the same page. "So yes, kids are definitely on the cards next year," Vicky confirmed. "I think he's looking forward to it now. He probably thinks I'll be at home a bit more, which he's thrilled about."
Back in March, Vicky - who has been open about freezing her eggs at 35 - told the Mirror she definitely wanted to start trying for children in the next year or two. "My mam had me at 30, geriatric back in her day... So if I can get one in before 40, I'll be over the moon!" she confessed at the time.
The couple initially thought they might start their family sooner after marrying but decided to "enjoy being married, for at least a year" first.
In a sweet admission about their family aspirations, Vicky revealed that Ercan, whose family is Turkish-Cypriot and one of four boys, has confessed he would love a "football team" of sons. Meanwhile, coming from "a long line of women who have women", Vicky imagines herself having a daughter first.
For now though, Vicky cherishes her Sundays at home with Ercan and their dogs, describing them as "sacred" amidst the Strictly chaos. "Going home to Ercan and the dogs, I'm so grateful for that," she said. "I can snap out of whatever steps are flying around in my head and be with my family. I need that moment."
