Lottie Tomlinson Finds Healing as a Mum on Winter Wonderland Day Out
Lottie Tomlinson's Family Day at Winter Wonderland

Social media influencer Lottie Tomlinson and her fiancé, former tennis player Lewis Burton, were spotted enjoying a delightful family day out at London's Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park this Sunday. The couple treated their two young children, son Lucky, two, and daughter Flossie Grace, ten months, to the festive attractions, marking a joyful public appearance.

A Casual Family Outing

The family looked relaxed and happy as they explored the fairground. Lottie Tomlinson, 27, opted for a casual yet chic winter ensemble, sporting a cosy white teddy bear zip-up jacket paired with loose-fitting jeans. She completed her look with brown, low-cut Ugg boots and kept a low profile with a pair of black sunglasses.

Lewis Burton, 33, embraced a more relaxed style in grey jogging bottoms and a white padded coat. His outfit was finished with a simple brown plaid cap and a pair of Axel Arigato clay trainers, valued at £225. The couple appeared in high spirits, and their day was a success, evidenced by the huge teddy bear they were seen pushing in their pram. Their two children wore adorable coordinated brown outfits for the occasion.

Motherhood as a Healing Journey

This cheerful family outing comes after Lottie recently opened up about the profound impact becoming a mother has had on her life. She has experienced immense personal tragedy, losing her mother, Johannah Deakin, to leukaemia in 2016 when Lottie was just 18. Tragically, just three years later, her younger sister, Félicité, died from an accidental drug overdose.

Now a mother herself to two young children, Lottie shared how parenting has been a healing force. Speaking to the Daily Mail, she revealed, "I think the most rewarding part is definitely, I just love being their everything." She elaborated, "You know, being that person who is their comfort blanket. It's such a nice feeling as a mum and as a parent to have that, and I think it definitely heals part of me that you know, I've grieved since losing my mum, now that I'm a mum myself."

Navigating the Challenges of Parenthood

Despite the joy, Lottie also spoke candidly about the challenges of motherhood, particularly the feeling of 'mum guilt'. She admitted that while she had heard others talk about it, she didn't truly understand it until she became a parent herself.

"The most challenging I find is the guilt, the mum guilt that comes with it and the worry," Lottie explained. "I think you want to do the absolute best for your kids, and that's where it stems from, and it can be quite hard to manage at times. And yeah, just the general worry that comes with having kids, you just want them to always be safe, always be happy, (and) always be healthy."

The couple, who began dating in August 2020 and announced their engagement in November 2023, were also joined by Lottie's younger sisters, Daisy and Phoebe, who were seen enjoying the festivities and appeared to have won a plush toy. The day at Winter Wonderland served as a heartwarming snapshot of a family creating happy new memories together.
