Domino's Cambuslang Donates 27 Tonnes of Food to Charity

Domino's Cambuslang Supply Chain Centre (SCC) has provided the equivalent of over 6,429 meals to charity through its partnership with Felix in 2025, donating nearly 27 tonnes of surplus food.

Partnership with Felix

The pizza company aims to achieve zero waste to landfill by meticulously managing stock inventory. When surplus food is unavoidable, Domino's distributes it to those in need. Grant Ness, general manager of Domino's Cambuslang supply chain centre, said: 'Our supply chain is carefully managed, so we keep food waste to a minimum. But where surplus does arise, we’re committed to making sure it reaches organisations like Felix, who can get it to the people and communities who need it most.'

Ness added: 'With 4.5 million children in the UK living in poverty, partnerships like this play an important role in helping provide essential support to people facing financial hardship nationwide. Thanks to the ongoing efforts of our Cambuslang supply chain centre team, more than 2.7 tonnes of surplus food has been redistributed, helping it make a meaningful difference while also reducing waste.'

National Impact

Domino's Pizza has achieved a major milestone of redistributing 500,000 meals to charity across the UK via Felix since the partnership began in 2017. In 2025 alone, a total of 38.6 tonnes of food was provided to local causes in need. Surplus food, including cheese, meats and dips, collected at the Cambuslang supply chain centre, are redistributed through Felix's network of charities throughout the country. Domino's supported nearly 2,000 charities via its partnership with Felix in 2025.

Environmental Benefits

In 2025, Domino's saved a total of 77 tonnes of CO2 and 103 million litres of water through donating surplus food to Felix. While waste accounts for only a small portion of overall emissions, reducing it is part of a broader strategy to lower greenhouse gases. Domino's remains committed to achieving net zero carbon emissions by 2050.

Felix's Role

Felix is the new name for merged food redistribution charities FareShare and The Felix Project, founded in 2026. In Glasgow and the West of Scotland, food redistribution is managed by Move On, a network partner of Felix. Li Brookman, head of retail at Felix, said: 'We are so grateful to the team at the Cambuslang supply chain centre and everyone at Domino’s for their ongoing support. Domino’s commitment to supporting the redistribution of surplus food makes a real difference to people and communities in need across the UK.'

Felix rescues good-to-eat surplus food that cannot be sold and would otherwise go to waste, supporting more than 8,000 community organisations across the UK and reaching over 1.5 million people. The charity manages seven depots and works with 16 network partners to operate a total of 35 depots across the UK.
