A Daily Express poll has revealed that a vast majority of royal fans believe King Charles should not meet with Prince Harry during the Duke of Sussex's current week-long visit to the United Kingdom. Of the 5,621 people who voted in the poll, conducted between 11:40 am on July 7 and 8:45 pm on July 8, 2026, a staggering 4,782 — approximately 85% — urged the King to avoid a meeting with his youngest son.
Poll Results and Fan Reactions
In contrast, 698 voters thought the King should meet with Harry, while 141 were undecided. The poll results sparked strong reactions in the comments section. One fan wrote: "Absolutely No!! Enough is enough!!!" Another added: "NO definitely not." A third commenter stated: "Nope, not now not ever. Harry cannot be trusted and he proved that last time he had a personal visit to the King." However, some fans speculated that a private meeting might still occur out of public view. One reader commented: "I think King Charles WILL meet with Harry - and possibly, with Archie and Lili also. I just have a feeling they are keeping this private - out of the public domain - for fear of adverse judgment from UK citizens."
Prince Harry's UK Visit
Prince Harry, 41, is currently in the UK for a series of engagements related to the Invictus Games. He is attending the one-year countdown event for the 2027 Invictus Games, scheduled for next summer. Originally, his wife Meghan Markle and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, were expected to join him. However, the decision changed after Harry's request for taxpayer-funded security was denied. The family cited ongoing fears for their safety in the UK as the reason for not accompanying him.
Security Concerns and Royal Tensions
The denial of security has been a point of contention, with Harry expressing concerns about his family's safety in the UK. This issue has further strained relations between the Sussexes and the royal family. Despite the poll results, some royal watchers believe a private meeting between father and son could still take place away from the public eye.
