Dr Scott Miller reveals divorce in candid Instagram post

ITV's This Morning resident veterinarian, Dr Scott Miller, has seemingly confirmed the end of his marriage in a candid and emotional social media post shared with his followers.

An Emotional Revelation on Social Media

On Friday, the 47-year-old television personality posted a photograph of himself walking in the woods with his rescue dog, Mango. In the accompanying caption, Dr Scott opened up about navigating a 'tough period' in his life, expressing gratitude for his children, friends, health, and his canine companion.

He wrote: 'Looking forward to the future. It’s been a tough period, but I’m so grateful for my kids, my amazing and supportive friends, my health…and my dog.' The vet specifically highlighted Mango's role, stating: 'Mango has been my constant companion and his unconditional love has helped me weather the storm. Hopefully clear skies and happiness ahead.'

The post was tellingly tagged with #divorce, strongly indicating a marital split from his wife, Zö Christien. The couple, who have largely kept their private life away from the public eye, share four children: Summer, Quinn, Jackson, and Riley.

Fans and Followers Rally with Support

The heartfelt message prompted an immediate outpouring of support from fans and followers in the comments section. Many shared their own experiences of pet companionship during difficult times and offered words of encouragement for the future.

One supporter commented on the unwavering loyalty of dogs, while another sent 'a big hug' and wished him happiness. A third follower shared a personal story, writing: 'Sending much love Dr Scott – hardest part of my life was my split & divorce – but almost 8yrs down the line... It does get better with time.'

A Year of Profound Personal Discovery

This personal revelation follows another significant disclosure from Dr Scott earlier this year. In April, to mark World Autism Day, he spoke publicly about receiving an autism diagnosis at the age of 47.

He decided to seek an assessment after two of his four children were diagnosed with the condition. Scott admitted the diagnosis initially made him feel as though his 'world was crashing down', but he has since reframed his perspective.

'I refuse to think of it as a disability,' he stated, explaining that he tells his children to view it as their 'superpower'. He said the diagnosis helped him understand past social difficulties and forgive his younger self for struggles he didn't comprehend at the time.

He also credited his pets, including Mango and another dog named Ludo, with providing immense support for his entire family, noting their particular help in navigating the challenges associated with autism.

The Daily Mail has approached Dr Scott's representative for further comment regarding the divorce.
