Sophie Turner, best known for her role as Sansa Stark in the hit HBO series Game of Thrones, has candidly shared her discomfort while filming the show's intimate scenes. The actress described the experience as "awful," shedding light on the awkwardness behind the camera.
In a recent interview, Turner admitted that kissing co-stars on set was far from glamorous. "It's not a nice thing to do," she confessed. "You're essentially making out with someone in front of a crew of 50 people, and it's just awkward."
The actress, who rose to fame playing the resilient Sansa Stark, revealed that the pressure to perform such scenes added an extra layer of stress. "You're trying to focus on your performance, but all you can think about is how uncomfortable it feels," she added.
Turner, now married to musician Joe Jonas, also touched on the challenges young actors face when navigating intimate scenes early in their careers. "It's a strange position to be in, especially when you're still figuring things out," she said.
Despite the discomfort, Turner acknowledged that the scenes were crucial to the storytelling of Game of Thrones. "At the end of the day, it's part of the job," she stated. "But that doesn't make it any less awkward."
