Ross Kemp has become the latest celebrity to reportedly sign up for the next series of The Celebrity Traitors. The 61-year-old actor, who recently returned to EastEnders as hardman Grant Mitchell, is said to be eager to challenge himself in the psychological reality game show.
Filming in Scotland
According to insiders, Ross is heading to Scotland this weekend to begin filming with the new cast at Ardross Castle, which is placed under lockdown during production. A source told The Sun: 'He loves Traitors and thinks it's a programme on another level, which is why he really wanted to take part. Ross loved the mix of psychological intrigue paired with some of the very physical trials that the group have to complete – both suit him perfectly.'
The source added: 'He signed up now because he's at a point in his life where he wants to try new things and continue to challenge himself.' Ross is also aware that the show attracts a wide age range, and his appearance could introduce him to a younger audience.
Other Rumoured Contestants
Ross is not the only name linked to the series. Comedian James Acaster, 41, has reportedly signed up, while former England striker Peter Crouch is also tipped for a surprise move into reality TV. Crouch previously expressed his love for the show, saying: 'I love Celebrity Traitors but I don't know if I could go on it. I'd be a traitor. Being a traitor is the one.'
Earlier this year, it was revealed that actor Stephen Graham is being considered by BBC bosses as a potential contestant. An insider said: 'They are absolutely desperate to nail down Stephen for the show. He would be their star signing.' Danny Dyer, another former EastEnders star, is also reportedly set to appear after initially having 'zero interest' in the series.
Host Claudia Winkleman's Excitement
Host Claudia Winkleman recently confirmed that the line-up for series two has been secured, leaving her gobsmacked. Appearing on The One Show, she said: 'The people who make it are extraordinary and they had to repeat the people twice to me because I was like, ‘Huh, are you joking? Come again.' So, we’re incredibly lucky.'
The first celebrity series aired in late 2025 and was won by comedian Alan Carr, who played as a Traitor. Claudia added: 'We’re so grateful that people want to come and play the game.'
A BBC spokesperson declined to comment on speculation, stating: 'We are not commenting on speculation and details for The Celebrity Traitors series 2 will be announced in due course.'
