Maya Jama, the charismatic host of Love Island, has lifted the lid on the realities of presenting the smash-hit ITV2 dating show – and it's not all sun-kissed glamour and effortless charm.

The 29-year-old TV star confessed that while viewers see the polished final product, the job comes with immense pressure and long hours. "People think it's just turning up, looking nice and saying a few lines," Jama revealed. "But there's so much more to it."
Since taking over from Laura Whitmore in 2023, Jama has become synonymous with the show's summer and winter editions. However, she admitted the role requires intense preparation and quick thinking when things don't go to plan.
