Kéllé Bryan has admitted that some of her Loose Women co-stars are closer to each other than others, as she revealed she spent part of the summer working with Brenda Edwards.
The former Eternal singer, who has been a panellist on the ITV talk show since 2019, told Heat magazine she missed her fellow panellists during the break but was honest about the dynamics within the group.
Closer bonds revealed
Asked if she missed her colleagues over the summer, Kéllé said: "Absolutely, but to be honest, some of us are closer to each other than other people. Obviously, it's just like in any other work scenario."
She disclosed that she had caught up with Judi Love, Brenda Edwards and Charlene White during the time off. Kéllé added: "I've been mentoring some young people for her during the summer. It's been amazing, just watching them progress and seeing the work that she does for the trust. It's been wonderful to be a part of."
Gloria Hunniford's milestone
The admission comes amid reports that fellow panellist Gloria Hunniford is not considering retirement any time soon. She appeared to underline that point on Loose Women this week as the show marked her remarkable 80 years in entertainment.
During Monday's episode (November 2), Gloria was accompanied by Coleen Nolan, Ruth Langsford and Jane Moore for the tribute, which took the shape of a special segment. Gloria remarked: "You're probably saying, 'Why doesn't she retire?'"
She went on to say: "You have to be practical when you get to the 80s because, heaven forbid, but I've been lucky not to have anything seriously wrong. But if you have an illness or something, then, of course, that helps you make a decision. But at the minute, hey, you're stuck with me!"
Reflecting on her career
During the episode, Gloria took a trip down memory lane, reflecting on her relocation to London as a mother of three. She acknowledged she never considered herself a "trailblazer".
She stated: "I didn't think of it like that. Because I was a housewife with three children by that stage and I always thought of myself as a mum first and foremost. But here I am with this challenge, and I was excited about doing it, but I was too busy learning how to do it."
