Miley Cyrus has shared a series of striking new photographs in which she wears a bright red latex dress, appearing just days after the release of her latest album Bass Persuades and following the tragic death of her godmother, Dolly Parton.
Fashion and Style
In the images, Cyrus poses with her hands behind her head, pulling her blonde hair back from her face. She wears bright red lipstick and looks down at the camera with her eyes outlined in white eyeshadow and mascara.
The former Disney Channel actress wears a matching red latex dress with a sweetheart neckline, thick shoulder straps, and a corset design that runs down the front and ties with string. The outfit hugs her figure, and she shows off her biceps, highlighting the tattoos on her arms. She accessorises with stacks of gold bracelets and diamond earrings.
In another picture, Cyrus wears her hair in a wet-look style that falls across her face and covers one eye.
Album Release and Dolly Parton
The photographs come after the release of her album Bass Persuades, following the death of Dolly Parton, who died on 25 August 2026.
Cyrus told Zane Lowe on his Apple Music podcast that she sent a copy of the album to Parton before it was released. She said: "Dolly has been the first person that when I get a vinyl printed, that’s the first person I send it to since I’ve been making vinyls, and this time around I was going to send her a vinyl because I always do."
She added: "I’m just trying to keep myself together, but the time that we talked, which was the last time we would talk, it was actually me telling her about this record because even though we are so different, that’s what made us so perfect for each other."
Cyrus also reflected on Parton's character, saying: "It’s that — and she knew this, and I know this — she is known for the fake, the hair, the makeup, and the show of it. But there’s a part of her that I think is what everyone gravitates towards… how real she is and how authentic she is."
