ITV's Christmas film line-up revealed in starry charades ads

ITV is launching a major festive campaign to showcase its enormous line-up of Christmas films, enlisting a galaxy of its biggest stars to play a hilarious game of charades in a series of new advertisements.

A Star-Studded Festive Game

The broadcaster has assembled an impressive roster of talent from across its schedules to feature in more than 30 different short ads. The celebrities don Christmas hats and attempt to act out movie titles in a game they're calling 'Guess What's On This Christmas'.

The line-up includes entertainment royalty such as presenting duo Ant & Dec, music legend Sir Tom Jones, and The Masked Singer's Davina McCall. They are joined by talk show hosts like Jonathan Ross, Mo Gilligan, and the team from Loose Women, including Judi Love and Charlene White.

Further familiar faces taking part come from This Morning, with Ben Shephard, Cat Deeley, and Alison Hammond on board. Britain's Got Talent judges Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon also feature, alongside a host of other popular presenters like Maya Jama, Dermot O'Leary, and Emma Willis.

Massive Movie Selection for the Holidays

The playful charades game is designed to highlight the vast cinematic offering available to viewers throughout the festive season. ITV has confirmed that it will have over 400 films available for audiences to watch or stream for free via its linear channels and the ITVX platform.

The films being acted out range from beloved seasonal classics to modern blockbusters. Titles featured in the game include the heart-warming It's a Wonderful Life, the romantic comedy Love Actually, and the animated favourite Shrek.

This year's stand-out premieres include the action-packed The Batman and the new festive movie Red One. The selection also promises family entertainment with Jurassic World: Dominion, The Grinch, and Ghostbusters.

Other major titles available for viewers to enjoy span various genres, from adventure with Indiana Jones and fantasy with Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore, to high-octane action in John Wick: Chapter 4 and Top Gun.

Campaign Roll-Out and On-Screen Fun

The twenty-second advertisements are packed with laughter as the stars struggle to guess each other's performances. In one clip, Will.i.am finally triumphs by correctly shouting "Mrs Doubtfire!", prompting cheers from his fellow players.

The fun is infectious, with the famous faces frequently leaving each other in fits of laughter. The campaign is scheduled to begin on Monday, 1st December 2025, making its debut during the broadcast of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!.

The ads will then continue to air across ITV's channels throughout the entire month of December and into January, ensuring viewers are repeatedly reminded of the extensive festive film library at their fingertips.

This major marketing push underscores ITV's commitment to providing a comprehensive entertainment package during the holidays, leveraging the popularity of its on-screen talent to drive viewers towards its content on both traditional TV and its streaming service, ITVX.
