Gogglebox's Siddiqui Family Explains Brother Raza's Absence from Current Series

The Siddiqui family, a fan favourite on Channel 4's Gogglebox, has revealed why brother Raza has been missing from the show's 27th series. In a heartfelt Instagram post, the family disclosed that Raza suffered a fall, resulting in cracked ribs, which has kept him off the sofa for now.

Recovery Update and Fan Support

Alongside a photo of Raza smiling and giving a thumbs-up from a hospital bed, the family wrote that he is recovering nicely and is expected to return to the show in a few weeks. They noted his positive attitude, with activities like walks, television, reading, and cuddles with his nephew Theodore keeping him entertained during his recovery.

The post emphasized that fan well-wishes have been a significant boost, stating, "I know you guys reaching out and sending your well wishes will put a bigger smile on his face than morphine ever could." Fans and fellow cast members, including Izzi Warner, have flooded social media with messages of support, wishing Raza a speedy recovery and eagerly awaiting his return.

Longevity and Legacy on Gogglebox

The Siddiquis are the only original cast members to have appeared on Gogglebox since its debut in 2013, making their presence a staple of the show. While other original participants, such as Steph and Dom or Sandra and Sandi, have left over the years, the Siddiquis have remained consistent fixtures.

This longevity contrasts with the trend of cast members departing to pursue other television opportunities. For instance, Scarlett Moffatt successfully transitioned to roles like presenting on Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway and appearing on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! after her family quit the show in 2017.

As Gogglebox continues into its 25th season, the Siddiquis' enduring appeal and family dynamic continue to resonate with viewers, making Raza's temporary absence a notable moment for fans who have followed their journey from the start.
