Celebrated architect and television presenter George Clarke has confirmed he was approached to join the glittering lineup of Strictly Come Dancing but ultimately decided to decline the opportunity.
The host of Channel 4's popular shows Amazing Spaces and The Restoration Man revealed that while he was "flattered" by the invitation, he doesn't believe he possesses the necessary rhythm for the BBC's flagship dance competition.

"I was asked to do Strictly and I said no," Clarke stated frankly. "I think I'd be absolutely hopeless on the dance floor."
The 49-year-old presenter expressed concerns about his dancing abilities, suggesting that his participation might not make for compelling television. "I don't think I'd be very good and I don't think I'd be very entertaining because I'd be so bad," he explained.
