Fletcher's Family Farm has been pulled from the TV schedule on Sunday and replaced by Southampton v Portsmouth in the Championship. The ITV series, which follows Kelvin Fletcher and his family on their Cheshire Farm, usually airs on Sunday mornings at 11.30am, but this Sunday, Fletcher's Family Farm will not air.
Southampton v Portsmouth takes the slot
Instead, Southampton v Portsmouth will air from 11.40am until 2.25pm. The synopsis reads, "Southampton v Portsmouth (Kick-off 12.00pm). Hugh Woozencroft presents all the action from the south coast derby in the Championship, held at St Mary's Stadium."
Both meetings between the rivals last term ended in draws, but the Saints will be hoping to maintain their 100 percent home record this term, as they look to continue climbing up the table after being docked four points at the start of the campaign due to the 'Spygate' scandal. With analysis from Matt Taylor and Francis Benali, commentary by Joe Speight and Iain Dowie, and reports from Katie Shanahan.
House fire renovation continues
Last Sunday, Fletcher's Family Farm began at 11.25am, with Liz and Kelvin Fletcher speaking about the house fire that forced them to leave their family home. Liz explained the farmhouse would be their next major undertaking, though she anticipates it will require considerable time to complete.
The renovation comes after the Fletcher family was forced to move out of their home following a fire that erupted while they were away on holiday last year. Now, the couple is determined to reconstruct the property for their children once more.
"The next big project is actually our house, which I didn't ever think was going to be on the list. But yeah, it'll be nice to put this energy and effort into the house now and build a home for the kids," Liz commented as she prepared the holiday cottage for new guests.
"The twins don't remember living in it. That's how long it's been. They call it the burnt house, which is sad, really, but listen, one day we'll be able to move back in, and it'll just be their home."
Despite substantial work remaining, Liz expressed her enthusiasm to begin. She remarked, "I imagine it'll take us forever to finish it, but I guess that'll be part of our story now, won't it? I can't wait to lay some bricks, start mixing some cement, doing some hard graft. I'm excited for it."
Return date and fan support
Fletcher's Family Farm will return on Sunday, October 18 at 11.30am, with the third episode from the new series. Kelvin and Liz have been flooded with support since the show's return, with one fan writing on Instagram, "This is what we all strive for in life, a lovely couple."
"Love you guys and your wee family so much. I just watched the episode yesterday when you had your cows in the show for the first time. I about cried through the whole episode; the love and support you all show each other really touches my heart. When Marnie said “ Fletcher family hug,” I really lost it. So much love and laughter between all of you, the world needs more stories like yours. Thank you for sharing your lives with us," another commented.
Someone else said, "You two are an amazing couple, just love your programme, keep up the good work." Another went on, "I watched you when you were a young boy in Emmerdale. You have come a long way in life, and you have stayed with the farming passion. Lovely family."
Fletcher's Family Farm is available to watch on ITVX.
