Claudia Winkleman's New BBC Chat Show Set for March Premiere
The beloved presenter Claudia Winkleman, aged 54, is beaming in glamorous promotional photographs from her forthcoming BBC chat show, where she interviews her inaugural lineup of celebrity guests. The much-anticipated programme will make its debut on BBC One on Friday, March 13 at 10.40pm, featuring a live studio audience.
Star-Studded Guest List Revealed
Newly released images depict Claudia and her panellists appearing relaxed and engaged in conversation within the studio setting. Her first guests on the sofa include Hollywood icon Jeff Goldblum, comedy legend Jennifer Saunders, acclaimed singer and actress Vanessa Williams, and popular comedian Tom Allen.
A show synopsis describes the series as 'a brand-new programme packed with celebrity guests, hilarious stories and Claudia's trademark warmth and wit'. The presenter herself has humorously acknowledged the BBC's decision to grant her a self-titled show, remarking to fans: 'Hello, they've given me a talkshow - agreed, an error.'
Humorous Promotional Campaign
In a teaser clip promoting the series, Claudia mocked her own use of fake tan by slapping orange paint on her face and quipping: 'I'm ready!' The trailer showed her placing small oranges into a bucket of gloop while joking that the colour 'isn't orange enough' for her preferences.
Speaking about her new role, Claudia expressed both excitement and self-deprecation: 'I can't quite believe it and I’m incredibly grateful to the BBC for this amazing opportunity. I'm obviously going to be awful, that goes without saying, but I'm over the moon they’re letting me try.'
BBC Executives Express Confidence
Kalpna Patel-Knight, Head of Entertainment Commissioning at the BBC, praised Claudia's abilities: 'Claudia is a true national treasure - warm, witty and endlessly entertaining. She has an extraordinary ability to put people at ease and bring out the very best in them, whether they’re global superstars or members of the audience.'
Patel-Knight added: 'It's very exciting that she will be fronting her very own show on the BBC, and we can't wait for viewers to join Claudia and her sofa full of stars.'

Traitors Series Secures Long-Term Future
The announcement coincides with significant news regarding Claudia's other successful programme. The BBC has signed a substantial three-year deal for both The Traitors and Celebrity Traitors, ensuring fans will enjoy the shows until 2030.
The Traitors, produced by Studio Lambert Scotland, first aired in 2022 and has completed four successful series. The celebrity version premiered last year following the civilian series' popularity.
Viewers can anticipate The Traitors series five on BBC One and iPlayer next year, with series six scheduled for 2028, series seven for 2029, and series eight for 2030. Meanwhile, Celebrity Traitors series two returns later this year, followed by series three next year, a fourth in 2028, and a fifth in 2029.
According to the BBC, these programmes 'will continue to promise audiences even more twists, turns, secrets, epic missions, deception, banishments and, of course, murders aplenty from the now iconic Ardross Castle'. This renewed commitment 'reflects the BBC's ongoing investment in original, high-impact entertainment that captivates and brings together audiences'.
