ITV viewers searching for their next Friday night entertainment need look no further. The popular series Bradley and Barney Walsh: Breaking Dad has just concluded its seventh series, with the final episode airing last Friday (12 June).

New Show Takes Prime Friday Slot

The programme occupied the coveted Friday night 7:30pm slot on ITV, and that spot will now be taken over by Changing Ends.

The semi-autobiographical comedy is a reimagining of comedian Alan Carr's childhood growing up in 1980s Northampton, drawing heavily on stories from the star's own formative years.

What to Expect This Friday

ITV will broadcast a repeat of series three, episode three this Friday at 7:30pm. A synopsis for the episode reads: 'Alan gets a shock regarding his future, and Christine gives an ill-judged interview in the local paper that causes friction on the close.'

In the show, Oliver Savell portrays the young Alan Carr, while the comedian himself appears as the older version of the character.

Critical Acclaim and Future Seasons

Changing Ends series three aired in 2025, and the much-loved programme has already been commissioned for a fourth series on ITV. The show was ITVX's most-watched comedy of 2023.
