BBC's 'Dracula' Billboard Reveals Hidden Shadow at Night

The BBC has unveiled an innovative billboard campaign for its new adaptation of Bram Stoker's 'Dracula', which features a hidden shadow of the vampire that only appears at night. The posters, located on Brixton Road in South London and Upper Dean Street in Birmingham, show a random assortment of stakes by day, but when darkness falls, specially-arranged lighting casts a looming shadow of Dracula.

Below the billboards, an 'In case of vampires – break glass' box containing a stake adds a playful touch. The campaign was created by BBC Creative in collaboration with London-based Instagram artist Reuben Dangoor, known for his series 'Legends Of The Scene' depicting grime artists as aristocrats.

The advert has received praise on social media, with users calling it 'genius', 'next level advertising', and 'inventive, unique marketing'. BBC Creative boss Olly Harnett described it as 'one of the most ambitious special builds we've ever undertaken', while Chris Hooper, head of marketing at BBC One, highlighted the 'playful, tongue-in-cheek approach' to the legend.
